Resort Appreciation Night was held on Thursday,
April 28th, 2006, at Spanky's Stone Hearth. About
30 Resort, Bed & Breakfast, Campground, & RV
owners were in attendance. The night is designed
to recognize our area lodging owners for all of their
hard work and preparation for the upcoming
vacationing season. Without these owners opening
up their doors each spring Vergas would be a very
quiet place to visit, so on behalf of the Vergas
Community Club we thank you.
The night began with a social hour followed by
guest speakers. The night's guest speakers
included Arlin Schalekamp from the Dept. of
Fisheries, Chris Schuelke from the Otter Tail
County Historic Museum, and John Thorup from
the Perham Area Chamber. The night was then
concluded with drawing of door prizes. Special
thank you to all businesses who donated to the
evening and a very special thank you to Josh
Hanson of Spanky's Stone Hearth for opening up
his doors to us for the evening.
