Baseball Memory:  Beating
Dent twice in the Metrodome in
1985 and 1988. I got married on
April 24th, 1976 in the Twin
Cities and returned home the
next day to beat Ponsford 11-1. I
knew this marriage would last
because she loves the game
almost as much as I do.
Any other facts:  The Vergas
Loons sold over 1,000 tickets
for the game Vergas vs. Dent in
1985 in the Metrodome. I then
got to go down to home plate in
the Metrodome and receive a
plaque on behalf of the Loons
before a Twins game. Vergas
still holds the record for most
tickets being sold.
